CDM Principal Designer & Advisory Services
Our expert teams are committed to providing our clients with a high level of service across a wide range of Building Construction and Civil Engineering projects, enabling them comply with their obligations under legislation, regardless of the size or complexity of the construction schemes. Our Principal Designers are Qualified and Certified Members of the Association for Project Safety. Mason Clark Associates are also accredited by CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) to undertake Designer & Principal Designer roles. This accreditation is subject to yearly third party audit which provides our clients with both assurance and reassurance that our services are compliant and meet industry benchmarks.
We have a proactive professional approach, coordinating the design work of others in the project team to ensure that significant and foreseeable risks are managed throughout the design process, facilitating good communication and cooperation between project team members. Also planning, managing and monitoring the pre-construction phase, together with coordinating matters relating to health and safety to make sure that, so far as is reasonably practicable, the project is carried out without undue risks to health and safety.
We ensure the Principal Designer is appointed on a project by project basis, based on their skill, training and experience of similar projects. This ensures that the most suitable resources are utilised to deliver best value for our clients. In addition to undertaking the statutory CDM Principal Designer role we also offer a Health and Safety consultancy service to assist our clients fulfill their own CDM duties. This can be tailored to our client’s requirements with examples including the vetting of Principal Contractor’s Construction Phase Plans and undertaking site safety audits.
