Mason Clark Associates were commissioned to act as Project Manager, Principal and Lead Designer for the refurbishment of Pocklington Arts Centre. This work was carried out with the aim of increasing accessibility to the building, improving the customer experience and ensuring its long term sustainability.
The project involved internal re-modelling of Oak House, a 17th Century Grade II Listed building, to create a bar and seating area, meeting rooms and improved access facilities. A new lobby, office, meeting room and commercial kitchen were developed as part of the ground floor refurbishment. External works were also carried out to reconfigure the surface water drainage.
We carried out all the NEC3 contract administration under the YorBuild framework as well as submitting all planning and building control submissions. Structural engineering design, Listed Building submissions and Party Wall services were also provided.
