ERYC Commercial Surveys

Overview

Mason Clark Associates (MCA) was commissioned by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to undertake Corporate Annual Maintenance Programme (AMP) surveys across 10 key locations. This project was a critical part of ERYC’s commitment to ensuring the longevity and functionality of its properties.

Our team conducted detailed inspections and provided future maintenance cost planning to help ERYC strategically manage its assets.

Challenges and Solutions

The scope of the project included the inspection of various commercial properties, from business centres to highways depots. Our task was to deliver comprehensive surveys and detailed reports for each location, with a focus on cost-effective and long-term maintenance strategies.

Detailed site inspections: ERYC provided existing information on each of the properties, including Beverley Small Business Centre, Bessingby Enterprise Park and the Humber Calibration Centre, among others. Our team undertook thorough on-site inspections to assess the current condition of each property and identify potential maintenance needs.

Future maintenance planning: Once the inspections were complete, we prepared detailed reports along with an AMP spreadsheet that provided an overview of future maintenance costs. This enabled ERYC to efficiently plan for the upkeep of each property and allocate resources more effectively across its portfolio.

MCA's Contribution

We delivered expert surveying services that allowed East Riding of Yorkshire Council to gain valuable insights into the condition of their commercial properties. Our contributions included:

  • Detailed condition reports for 10 key locations across East Riding
  • Development of future maintenance cost plans to support long-term budgeting
  • Efficient coordination with ERYC to ensure seamless data collection and reporting

Our surveys covered a range of property types, including business centres and highways depots, providing a holistic view of the council’s commercial assets.

Results

We successfully delivered comprehensive AMP surveys that have since supported ERYC’s long-term property maintenance planning.

The project has helped the council manage future repair costs more effectively and maintain the functionality and safety of its commercial properties.

This engagement further highlights our capability in delivering high-quality surveying and consultancy services, supporting clients in the public sector with strategic asset management.
