Mason Clark Associates were appointed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC), to carry out an initial inspection and assessment of the Local Authority’s footbridge over a railway track, including all necessary liaison with Network Rail for access.
The structure failed the assessment, and it was therefore decided to remove the structure. MCA then produced a tender package of drawings and specification appendices for this removal contract, as well as providing a pre-tender estimate and acting as CDM Principal Designer.
The project was tendered and once the job was awarded to a contractor, we continued providing assistance, including assessing the bridge under its temporary supports while being lifted out, requiring further liaison with Network Rail.
