Richard is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over twenty-eight years’ experience of working within the Civil infrastructure sector. He has managed and actively contributed to the delivery of projects within the Waste infrastructure and Civil Engineering infrastructure business sectors. His portfolio includes Energy, Residential, Retail, Commercial and Industrial projects, delivering earthworks, highways, bridges, drainage, and contract procurement and administration services.
Richard trained as a civil engineer with British Railways Eastern Region, joining them as a school leaver. After graduating, he was accepted on to their Management Training scheme. Whilst working for British Railways, he worked predominantly in the New Works (Stations and General Structures) and Bridge departments.
More recently, he has embarked on a new career direction, working within the heritage engineering team at Mason Clark Associates with the aim of becoming an Engineer Accredited in Building Conservation. It is within this field that he believes he can blend his expertise and experience with his long standing interest in historic structures.
