Andy is Director of the Structural Engineering Department in the Hull office and leads a team of ten Structural Engineers and Technicians. He joined Mason Clark Associates in 2004 as a Senior Engineer and progressed through the company. Andy qualified with a 1st class honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Bradford in 2000 and became a Chartered Civil Engineer in 2006.
As well as managing the Structural Department in Hull, Andy also operates the company Environmental Management Scheme.
A member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Andy has been heavily involved in the operation of the Institution locally being a past Chairman of the Humber Branch Committee and has been a member of the Humber Branch and Yorkshire regional committees, Yorkshire Executive Board and secretary for the prestigious Yorkshire & Humber Awards.
Prior to working for Mason Clark Associates, Andy gained experience of working within the rail industry working on a variety of different projects. With over fifteen years industry experience Andy has extensive experience working on projects of all sizes and in all materials as well as assessment and 3D modelling of building structures using various types of software. However he particularly enjoys the design and detailing of commercial and residential refurbishment projects and complex house extensions.
In his spare time, Andy is a keen gardener and helps extensively at his local church with building projects and writing funding bids.
