Adapting Council and Private Homes

Mason Clark Associates have provided CDMC services for disabled adaptations and property extensions in occupied properties.  These works are to both home owners, private tenants and housing association tenants.

These minor works schemes are generally for those who live with a disability and are eligible to receive financial assistance to pay for adaptations.

Mason Clark assist in the Health and Safety assessments and implications of the CDM Regulations advising the client where adaptations are being provided for persons who have substantially impaired sight, hearing or speech or have mental health issues or those substantially physically disabled by illness or injury. We are pleased to help in providing services that improve peoples lives enabling occupants to live more independently and improve access into or around their home.

The nature of these schemes means a substantial amount of the works being undertaken are contracted to smaller contractors who are often are less familiar with the legal obligations under the CDM Regulations. Mason Clark help and support these companies to provide a smooth process for the benefit of the property occupants and any Council.
